GPS
the Movie: Back By Popular Demand
Independent Thriller Continues its
Theatrical Run
Audiences and the
press both love the movie! Film critic Matthew Green, who was present at the
GPS also took home the award for Best Local Film at the Tacoma Film
Festival in October. Tickets to that screening quickly sold out and many people
had to be turned away at the door, prompting the festival to quickly put
together a second screening for the next afternoon. GPS was the only feature-length film at the festival with multiple
screenings.
The movie follows a
group of college friends that embark on a GPS treasure hunt in the Northwest
wilderness in search of money. Instead of finding buried treasure, they find a
buried coffin that contains photos of a kidnapped woman and GPS coordinates
that lead deeper into the forest. The friends question if the photos real or
part of the game.
Central Cinema
previously had six screenings of GPS,
all of which sold out, and thus prompted the theatre to bring the movie back for
this second run, beginning January 9th.
